Gizmodo's got some new details on the prototype African Twin that Honda unveiled at EICMA this week. I actually like that they gave it some "No Dirt, No Glory" treatment - there's just something not exactly right about seeing a shiny, sparkling clean ADV bike being revelaed during these shows.
But the interesting feature they pointed out in the article is that this bike actually has DCT or Dual Clutch Transmission, similar to the technology used in the Honda VFR1200F we presume. I wonder if DCT would suit an ADV motorcycle well, as you could more easily shift while standing using the hand controls? Not sure, but it does sound interesting!
