There's a a great article on the Raily Raid Products LC4-50 Project and rider Carl Hagenblad over at Enduro News. The concept is pretty interesting, given the fact that most of the time when modding bikes, you want to get more power by increasing the displacement - well in this case, in order to comply with the Dakar regulations, Rally Raid went the opposite direction and took a stock KTM 690 Enduro and modified it so that it could meet the 450cc limit. The result is a hybrid of the KTM 690 chassis with a Dakar-approved engine.
Pretty cool project, considering the LC4-50 started out life as the same KTM 690 Enduro you can purchase at your local KTM dealer!
ADV ADDICTS is proud to sponsor the Rally Raid Products LC4-50 Dakar Team. You can help support the team by picking up on of the Official Dakar Shirts here. Thanks to all for their support so far!
