Here's a little behind-the-scenes look at a new item is currently in development. What you see here doesn't represent the final design, but part of our process is to prototype products first before we do an official release. The mockup shown above helps us to visualize the final piece, but we always start with artwork done in a vector illustration app. This allows us to play with the sizing and colors before making final changes.
We then like to do a test print on an actual garment, to get a better sense of what is working or not working. We can fine tune the sizing and position of the graphics, and add unique features such as custom labels or tag prints. Having a prototype also gives us a chance to check the quality and feel of the fabric. In this case, this hoodie is a blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. We also test fit the hoodie for a sizing check to determine if this is a classic, slim, or relaxed fit.
Once all the details are finalized for the graphic design, garment, material, labels, and other features we can then move into our production process where we can produce the shirts, hoodies, and accessories for all the ADV Addicts out there. Thanks for letting us share our process with you and look for the new ADV Hoodie to be released soon!
